Francis Bacon
lived in England from 1561----1626 and became a famous philosopher and
statesman. He wrote essays in both English and Latin.
B.
“be+不定式的被动式” 表示“某事应当 / 必须 如何做”
常用在通知和说明书里。
eg. The books you are borrowed are to be
returned before Dec. 31.
This medicine is to be
taken three times a day after meals.
This form is to be filled
in in ink.
cf. “be+不定式” 通常用来表示“按计划或安排将要做的事情”, 或表示上级对下级,父母对子女“下达命令” eg:
